Friendly help. You can get real close to take pictures of the sandhill cranes. Great experience. – Paul Julian
Brian and i had the fortunate and magical experience of meeting Chad and seeing the migration for 2 nights. It was beyond my wildest dreams, something that i had wanted to do for many years and just never found the time. Luckily we were hooked up with the cabin, and Chad and it was fantastic. Chad is wonderful, very caring about “his birds and roost”, knowledgeable and a delight to spend the evenings with. The weather was spring like.. It was perfect.. we cannot recommend the cabin, birds and Chad enough. Do yourself a favor and experience it! – Brian Flaitz
Spent a night in the overnight “island” photo blind. What an experience! It does take some work to get there, but so worth it. All by yourself in the middle of nature… and thousands of noisy cranes! You will not get closer to them anywhere, and it’s just you and the cranes. The blind of bigger than you think, and well-appointed. I can’t wait to go back. – Jeff Moravec
Wonderful Experience. Everyone should take advantage of the opportunity to experience the cranes at this pit stop during their migration. – Othelia Funk
The photography blind, which is basically in the middle of the river, is a unique experience. I don’t know of any other set up that would get you this close to the cranes. Another nice feature was the ground level portholes to shoot from. It’s just a great, well thought out, location that was obviously designed by a photographer, for photographers. – Mark Washburn
